Some of us are already using Groovy 3.0.0. ;-)

I am all for requiring JDK8 for Groovy 3 *AND* getting rid of the build
of two lots of artefacts. Either we go with indy or we don't, I sugegst
that Groovy 3 is the right place to go with only indy and drop the
previous stuff. If the indy codes are slower then we fix it.

I am always willing to make comments. Actions less likely. ;-) Well
unless it is GPars and Gant anyway.
