Extending this guide to cover different Hadoop releases should be very useful. 

As for the pseudo-distributed mode, one need to update "mapred-site.xml" so that at least
4 mappers can be run at once (and thus the unittests won't fail). This is because Giraph’s
code assumes that you can run at least 4 mappers at once, but unfortunately the default configuration
allows only 2. Adding a section that explains this will be useful as well (in fact, in this
two-node distributed mode, if the second datanode goes down, the cluster will work in pseudo-distributed
mode but will end up with runtime exceptions because of the default value concerning number
of mappers! So, we do need to update the current description to take this case into consideration).

Avery, any comments on this patch? IMHO, the current content is very helpful and we can iteratively
improve/extend it over time. What do you think?
