Re naming: 
You mean stick to RPC? If the generic term is IPC, then maybe we should switch to that.
As far as I know there is no common interface for IPC. There are WorkerClient/Server interfaces
whose implementations use either Netty or Hadoop RPC.
BspServiceWorker explicitly chooses Netty or Hadoop RPC based on a boolean flag (after this
patch, it will use Netty straight away).
We might need to introduce a common interface if we want to abstract the IPC implementation.
