I don't think that will work. To get it to work I had to write a Managed Connection Factory. It's just a java bean
but you still have to write it.

If you wrote code for this per Jeremey's note please open a JIRA  and post the
code there.  I'll take a look at it and plan to include it in  Geronimo 1.0
(TranQL 1.1 for the connectors).
