This suggestion is for EJB and has nothing to do with Geronimo.

You can use Character as field's data type and in getter/setter check the
value of that field, to determine whether it is true or false.

I have an enterprise application [.ear]

the cmp-mapping is as follows


field1 is boolean and a1 is character

can i have this configuration

i added the follwing snippet

to the cmp-field-mapping


i am getting an exception 

Error: Unable to distribute Myapp.ear: Could not
deploy module Myapp.jar
    caused by SQL type 1 is not defined

Can anybody provide a solution for this
