Subject [jira] Commented: (GERONIMO-5765) Display a warning message when a WAB is deployed in admin console
Date Wed, 16 Feb 2011 05:28:59 GMT

Jarek Gawor commented on GERONIMO-5765:

The changes in 1070803 are not correct. The messages displayed by the changes are misleading.
They imply that a WAB is being deployed when in fact the module will be deployed and treated
as a regular web application.
What I think we need to do now is modify the Tomcat/JettyWebModuleBuilder to check whether
the standalone war application has OSGi manifest & Web-ContextPath header. If it does
then we display a warning that even though the application has proper OSGi manifest, the application
will be deployed as a regular web application and not a WAB.

> Now WAB has to be deployed via karaf shell like a regular bundle, so if you deploy it
via admin console, deployer will just recognize it as java ee web application, not osgi WAB.
> So display a warning message to inform users.
