Han Hong Fang commented on GERONIMODEVTOOLS-715:
------------------------------------------------

There are two kinds of project status in servers view, Synchronized indicates that the application
files in eclipse workbench and on the server are matching and Republish indicates the mismatch.
Once the bundle project is updated, only the bundle project is marked as Republish to indicate
it is different with the files on server. Same to the OSGi application, if OSGi application
project is updated, only OSGi application is marked as Repulish. From the project status point
of view, the OSGi application listed under server is treated as a single project. Its status
only indicates if this single project is modified in workbench. But from the publish or deployment
point of view, in both cases the whole OSGi application is re-deployed.

The same behaviour to EAR application. Once EJB or other EAR associated project is updated,
only the updated project is marked as Republish to indicate the changes in workbench.

According to http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.wst.server.ui.doc.user/topics/rwrcview.html,
project status description are as below.

Synchronized: Both copies of the application files on the server and in the workbench are
matching.
Republished: The copy of the application files on the workbench has changed and does not
match the copy on the server. The server needs to be updated.

> When a module in an application (EAR or EBA) is updated, Eclipse indicates that single
module alone is being republished. However, in reality the entire application is being redeployed.
This can be confusing to GEP users.
