Subject [jira] Commented: (GERONIMODEVTOOLS-101) remote debugging
Date Thu, 30 Aug 2007 23:30:30 GMT

Oleg Gusakov commented on GERONIMODEVTOOLS-101:

Thank you Tim!

This also calls for pluggable copy process. Geronimo plugin should be easially reconfigurable
to support various methods of delivering files to the remote server and configuration restart

One of the obvious solutions would be ssh copy and remote restart. Problem here is that not
all server versions may be supporting remote configuration restart. In this case - a simple
agent on the server with a custom RPC call into it ?

> The "publish by copy" seems to open a very interesting possibility of publishing to a
remote server and attaching to it fro remote debugging. As this is possible to do manually,
I think plugin should be able to support such deployment - maybe setup a "file receiver" on
the other end.

Even QA problems may be solved much faster.
