Subject configuring Geronimo's EJB port
Date Thu, 19 Jul 2007 09:48:26 GMT

Hi there,

I've a problem with the latest release (M6-rc1)/jetty, EJB port on 4201
seems to be closed, I'm unable to connect using the folowing code :

InitialContext initialContext = new InitialContext();

The following error occurs :

javax.naming.AuthenticationException: Cannot deternmine server protocol
version: Received null/0.0; nested exception is: Unable to read protocol version.
Reached the end of the stream.
	at org.openejb.client.JNDIContext.authenticate(

Here is my server startup console :

  Listening on Ports:

    1050 CORBA Naming Service

    1099 RMI Naming

    1527 Derby Connector

    2001 OpenEJB ORB Adapter

    4201 OpenEJB Daemon

    6882 OpenEJB ORB Adapter

    8009 Jetty Connector AJP13

    8080 Jetty SelectChannel Connector HTTP

    8443 Jetty Connector HTTPS

    9999 JMX Remoting Connector

   61613 ActiveMQ Transport Connector

   61616 ActiveMQ Transport Connector

I read in this article
Configuring Geronimo's EJB Port
that I must recompile the geronimo server to configure this feature, I've
sucessfully recompiled the server (note that i had to add xerces in the
endorsed lib to run admin console) but I'm not able to find the file
'j2ee-server-plan.xml' to make any change.

Thank by advance for your help.
