Subject [jira] Updated: (GERONIMO-2771) GlassFish specs are being included in 2.0-M2 builds
Date Sun, 03 Jun 2007 17:20:15 GMT

]

Jarek Gawor updated GERONIMO-2771:
----------------------------------

    Affects Version/s: (was: 2.0-M2)
                       2.0-M6
        Fix Version/s: (was: 2.0-M5)
                       2.0-M7

Some updates on these Glassfish jars:

1) activation.jar, mail.jar, and saaj-api.jar should no longer be pulled in.
2) jaxb-api, and jaxb-impl will be pulled in as Geronimo uses Glassfish JAXB implementation.
3) jaxws-api.jar is currently pulled in but hopefully will be replaced with axis2 api in the
future.
4) M6 introduces dependencies on jaxws-rt and jaxw-tools as they are needed by Axis2 to generate
the WSDL at runtime.

> Several GlassFish spec jars are being included in Geronimo 2.0 repos. I'm guessing they
are being pulled in by CXF, but have not investigated. Not too big of a deal, but we should
do a bit of housekeeping to eliminate duplication. Some like mail could potentially cause
problems...
> Potential redundancies include:
> activation-1.1.jar
> mail-1.4.jar
> saaj-api-1.3.jar
> jaxws-api-2.0.jar
> jaxb-api-2.0.2.jar
> jaxb-api-2.0.jar
