   Thanks David! openejb-core still has dependency on
openejb-persistence:
<dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.openejb</groupId>
      <artifactId>openejb-persistence</artifactId>
      <version>${pom.version}</version>
    </dependency>
  The openejb-persistence module has been deleted from the source (rev
500244). Where has this been moved to?
