Subject [jira] Closed: (GERONIMO-2283) Common libs portlet guesses wrong group ID, gives no usage advice
Date Wed, 03 Jan 2007 12:53:28 GMT

Vamsavardhana Reddy closed GERONIMO-2283.

    Resolution: Fixed

o Updated the javascript to use RegularExpression processing on the filename to come up with
artifact, version and type suggestion.
o Updated the code to suggest groupId if the file path is in a Maven1 or Maven2 repository

Fixed in rev 492105 in branches\1.1, branches\1.2 and trunk.

> When selecting a file for the repository portlet, it selected the version number as the
group ID. It should probably default to a blank group ID and make the user enter it -- the
best it can select from the file name is probably the artifact, version, and type.
> Also, it should have an option where you pick a JAR and it gives you the dependency syntax
you need to add that JAR to the classpath for an application or other Geronimo module.
