Subject [jira] Commented: (GERONIMO-693) Provide Java Service Wrapper scripts in bin directory
Date Thu, 23 Mar 2006 00:07:17 GMT

John Sisson commented on GERONIMO-693:
--------------------------------------

Another wrapper conf file has been submitted by Ted Haynes on the user list. http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?t=114305634300002&r=1&w=2
.

We should look into generating the file as part of the build after we have moved the build
to M2.

> It would be nice to have obvious startup.sh and startup.bat scripts in the bin directory
so that the user doesn't need to look at the README file to figure out how to start the server.
(java -jar bin/server.jar isn't hard -- it's just not quite as brainless as a script called
"startup").
