I believe the reason is that the specs uber-jar still contains the "new", bad corba spec classes. Many Geronimo configs are including the uber-jar as a dependency, rather than declaring dependencies for the individual spec jars. As a result, we're still picking up the new corba classes, not the old, good corba spec classes. I'm going to look into fixing the config dependencies (at least enough to fix the problem). However, in addition, I think the bad corba spec jars/classes should be removed from Geronimo specs (until they can be fixed).
