Probably the latter.  I wasn't aware of the performance aspect.
What's up now is figuring out how to be able to use it for
docco *development*, but something more robust for docco *reference*.
Until we have a plan for that, leaving things the way they are
right now is safest -- but that's only an interim thing.

Bear in mind that the concern may extend beyond Confluence;
if the system is getting hammered, *all* services it provides
are going to suffer.
