Startup processing should check that a temp directory configured in java.io.tmpdir exists before
starting configurations
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: GERONIMO-1267
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-1267
     Project: Geronimo
        Type: Improvement
  Components: startup/shutdown
    Versions: 1.0
    Reporter: John Sisson
 Assigned to: John Sisson
    Priority: Minor

Currently if you configure a temp directory via java.io.tmpdir and it doesn't exist, you get
errors from many components during startup. This is a basic configuration error that we should
pick up and abort the startup with a friendly message.
