Subject [jira] Commented: (GERONIMO-1015) Management API: Web Logging

Joe Bohn commented on GERONIMO-1015:

Aaron. Thanks for taking a look at this patch. Regarding your comments:
- The proposal did remove the hard coded object names from being required within the console
code. Are you concerned about them still being in the container specific implementation (under
o/a/g/jetty in this case)?
- Good points about remote access and inclusion in the JSR77 namespace. The problem with
requiring the helper to be a GBean itself is that it requires the admin portlets to be conversant
in GBeans which seems like a fairly deep part of the infrastructure to expose at the application
- This proposal doesn't require the EAR to reference Jetty as a parent. The Console EAR has
always included jetty as a parent and will until we convert all jetty specific portlets of
which this is only one.
- yeah ... I figured that would be the case since most folks don't like this style of argument
formatting. I personally find it to be very easy to read and modify (much more so than the
traditional blob approach). However, I will conform to the style of the project.

> Management API for working with Web Logs and implementation for jetty integrated with
console. Intergration with tomcat hopefully soon to follow.
