JMX Connector ignores port number
---------------------------------

         Key: GERONIMO-462
         URL: http://nagoya.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-462
     Project: Apache Geronimo
        Type: Bug
  Components: general
    Versions: 1.0-M2
    Reporter: Aaron Mulder
    Priority: Critical

The JMX connector processes a port number in a URI like this:

jmx:rmi://localhost:1234561234/jndi/rmi:/JMXConnector

For example, if you put in a port number that's too large, you get:

Bad port number: "123456123434526": java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "123456123434526"

However, the connector will connect no matter what port number you specify in the URI. I
suspect that means that if the server side is listening on a different port, it will *not*
connect, no matter what port you use. But as I don't know how to change the port that the
server listens on, it's difficult to test. :) Perhaps it's going for the rmiregistry on
1099?

In any case, to test this, try to run:

java -jar bin/deployer.jar --uri deployer:geronimo:jmx:rmi://localhost:1234561234/jndi/rmi:/JMXConnector
list-targets

and just fool with the port numbers in the URI
