Build fails due to NoClassDefFoundError: org/mortbay/jetty/Server
-----------------------------------------------------------------

         Key: GERONIMO-394
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-394
     Project: Apache Geronimo
        Type: Bug
  Components: web
    Versions: 1.0-M3
Environment: Microsoft Windows XP [Wersja 5.1.2600]

java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0-b64)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0-b64, mixed mode, sharing)

    Priority: Blocker

It's not possible to build Geronimo as either jetty or assembly module fails because org.mortbay.jetty-5.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
is corrupted (0kB in size after downloading it during Geronimo build process).

The file was downloaded manually from http://www.mortbay.org/maven/jetty/jars/org.mortbay.jetty-5.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
and it seems it's correct, but right after the build has started in the online mode, the file
cannot be again downloaded correctly via maven. Here's Maven output snippet:

Próbuję ściągnąć org.mortbay.jetty-5.1-SNAPSHOT.jar.
warning: last-modified not specified
0K downloaded
warning: last-modified not specified

"Próbuję ściągnąć" translates to "Attempting
to download" in English (it's a localized message of Maven).

The jar file was deleted from Maven local repository several times and it didn't help.

As you might have guessed, during the build the assembly module chokes that Jetty classes
are not in place and the build fails with the following exception:
