I'm trying to figure out where to put this adapter in openejb nova.  
Meanwhile, anyone who wants it let me know and I will send it.

Alternatively you can use the firebird database adapter which natively 
supports jca.  I guess to push this I should write a geronimo-ra.xml 
for it:-)
