That's generous of you, Matt.  I think the ASF guys probably want to keep the
geronimo page on their servers and that's understandable, but the site here has
been down for several weeks.

I remember when the Geronimo project had a web site at Apache.  What are the
chances that we're going to get that thing back up and running before ApacheCon?

If, for example, we stirred up a lot of attention to the project at the Con, I
can imagine the frustration of the users coming to the ASF site and finding a
template page explaining nothing of the project and linking to none of its

It's a good thing we've got that wiki up at codehaus, or else this list would be
our only resource.  How do people sign up to the list if they can't find the
link on the website?

We need to remove the friction here and invest some time and energy restoring
the project infrastructure.
