Can we had an inner class to the MimeType class with a package visibilty which have the responsability to parse a MIME type ? It can be usefull in all the CommandMap implementation and/or in the DataHandler. The interface in the repository seems to be deduced from the Apidoc of the sun implementation of JAF and not from the specification. Another question very related, can we add classes to the javax.application package not defined in the spec ? Laurent F.
