Subject [jira] [Created] (GEODE-7146) Document Limitations of Aggregate Functions
Date Thu, 29 Aug 2019 12:30:00 GMT
Juan José Ramos Cassella created GEODE-7146:
-----------------------------------------------

Summary: Document Limitations of Aggregate Functions
                 Key: GEODE-7146
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GEODE-7146
             Project: Geode
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: docs
            Reporter: Juan José Ramos Cassella

Make sure the docs cover the concerns about things that can't be done with aggregate functions.

Some of the concerns/limitations to add in the documentation:
* Can't be used in {{CQ}}.
* What happens if {{SUM}} result is higher than {{Double.MAX_VALUE}}.
* What happens if {{COUNT}} result is higher than {{Integer.MAX_VALUE}}.
* What happens if {{AVG}} result is {{Infinity}} (floating-point operation that overflows).
* What happens if the intermediate count, when calculating the {{AVG}} operation, is higher
than {{Integer.MAX_VALUE}}.
* What happens if the intermediate summation, when calculating the {{AVG}} operation, is higher
than {{Double.MAX_VALUE}}.
