I would love to, but definitely won't be able to finish the implementation in 2 weeks.

As discussed in the original github issue, one option would be to simply use JDBC or similar.
Since Cassandra partitions are usually independent a more efficient solution could be used.
My plan was to create an issue in Spark Cassandra connector to separate the Spark specific
things to be able to reuse the partitioning logic.
