To clarify...

Subsequent notes overwrite the notes for that individual page, not all notes. This was by
design for the use case I built this for.

Since the complete note is displayed along with the page the user has to make the choice to
remove the content of any existing note or to append their additional notes to the end.

If there are other use cases then perhaps a check box indicating the required behviour on
each notes page is appropriate.
