       Body:
I reverted those changes, which "fixes" the issue.

Don't know if it is related, but there was recent discussion on cocoon-dev about issues with
the "cocoon:" protocol.

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: FOR-440
    Summary: forrest hangs with java.lang.StackOverflowError
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Blocker

    Project: Forrest
 Components:
             Launch 'forrest'
   Fix Fors:
             0.7
   Versions:
             0.7

   Assignee:
   Reporter: David Crossley

    Created: Sun, 20 Feb 2005 9:54 PM
    Updated: Sun, 20 Feb 2005 10:56 PM

Description:
When doing 'forrest', the cocoon starts, but hangs and no document processing messages are
emitted and no indication in the logs. Then need to Ctrl-C it. When doing 'forrest run' the
same happens, but with an error message "java.lang.StackOverflowError".
