Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: FOR-344
Summary: Remove temporary fix for Inone source format plugins
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Trivial

    Project: Forrest
   Fix Fors:
             0.7
   Versions:
             HEAD

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Ross Gardler

    Created: Mon, 1 Nov 2004 11:46 AM
    Updated: Sat, 6 Nov 2004 4:48 PM

Description:
The IMSManifest and s5 plugins do not work with the current mount point for the plugin sitemap.
I have therefore put a temprary mount into sitemap.xmap to make it work (search for IMSManifest
and s5).

IMSManifest is an example of an "infrastructure plugin" that is it works with files that define
the sites infrastructure (site.xml and tabs.xml in this case)

s5 is an example of an output format plugin, that is it creates a specificc type of output
docuemnt.

We must design a more flexible plugin mounting mechanism to accomodate plugins such as these
and therefore enable the removing of these temporary mounts.
