Subject [JIRA] Closed: (FOR-376) Add breadcrumb configurability to skinconf.xml
Date Wed, 17 Nov 2004 20:31:50 GMT

The following issue has been closed.

   Resolver: Thorsten Scherler
       Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 2:31 PM

It is written in the code of skinconf.xml:

<!-- Some skins use this to form a 'breadcrumb trail' of links.
Use location="alt" to move the trail to an alternate location
    (if the skin supports it).
Omit the location attribute to display the trail in the default location.
Use location="none" to not display the trail (if the skin supports it).
For some skins just set the attributes to blank.
<trail location="alt"/>

Here is an overview of the issue:
        Key: FOR-376
Summary: Add breadcrumb configurability to skinconf.xml
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Minor
 Resolution: FIXED

    Project: Forrest

This is a follow-up to this thread[3]. I'd like to be able to configure the following items
breadcrumb trail items in the skinconf.xml file.

- location (top page[1], below header/tab area[2], none, other?)
- display/hide page title (see thread[4] and example[5])

IMO, this shouldn't be relegated to the 'skin' author to make this choice.
