Ah yes, the proxy probably doesn't support all the types of requests SVN 
uses.

The Apache repositories are available as both http: and https: so you 
can try using https: but if that has to go through the proxy too, I 
guess you're out of luck.

The snapshots from http://svn.apache.org/snapshots/xml-forrest/ probably 
don't use SVN yet but I haven't checked.
