Well I think I have the same problem.

When I type forrest run in the original distribution directory (after a
fresh cvs update and a build)
I get this:

run:
17:35:33.062 EVENT Checking Resource aliases
17:35:33.343 EVENT Starting Jetty/4.2.8
17:35:33.531 EVENT Started WebApplicationContext[/,Forrest]
17:35:34.593 EVENT Started SocketListener on 0.0.0.0:8888
17:35:34.593 EVENT Started org.mortbay.jetty.Server@e86da0

BUT when I point my browser to http://localhost:8888
I get this
Internal Server Error

Description: No details available.

In my command prompt I see this:
