Yes, opening a port at 8888 is somewhat a problem because sometimes, I am only behind a software
To deploy, I use a ssh'ed pull-cvs-ant script on the deployment host - so no worry on that.

Also, you did a great job with forrest: I can produce my first pages without even knowing
what "CLI" means and if possible, I want to keep it that way.
However, assuming and hoping forrest gets "mass appeal", I rather have the dependencies sorted
out once in a build.xml or whereever that needs to be done instead of having thousands of
people open a port on their machine just to work on local, static files??? That's simply not
neccessary as it appears. If it is not perfectly quick, that is o.k. to me for now.

Here is an overview of the issue:
        Key: FOR-14
    Summary: Dependencies not granular
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Critical
 Resolution: FIXED

    Project: Forrest
  Component: Core operations

   Reporter: Ralf Hauser

    Created: Sat, 11 Jan 2003 1:08 AM
    Updated: Sat, 11 Jan 2003 2:38 AM
Environment: 030110

When I change one word in the file src\documentation\content\xdocs\index.xml
and then type "forrest", all files in fst\build\site get rebuilt.
This is very inefficient and time-consuming - it doesn't scale! I guess as long as the true
functionality of ant in this respect isn't used, no big/serious website will use forrest.
