Subject [issues] New comment: (FOR-5) PDFs fail for large files
Date Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 GMT
The following comment has been added to this issue:

     Author: Ross Gardler
    Created: Sun, 24 Nov 2002 7:16 AM
       Body:
I'm not convinced this is to do with large files.

I have a generated PDF that is over 900K (197 pages) and see no problems. I'm not sure of
the exact size of the xdocs as theer are a fairly large number pulled together. However, some
of the individual files are larger than your-project.xml (the largetst is 86531), each of
these individual files also convert to a PDF without problems.

I do use a modified stylesheet to generate these documents, so I have tried them with the
default forrest skin, the result was a successful build.

I have verified that this is not a configuration difference in our machines by reproducing
the reported error by trying to generate your-project.xml.

I have seen this problem before with my own site, when generating the above PDF's. I no longer
see this but I did not deliberately solve the issue, it went away as a result of my working
on other files and working with static generation.

If I can provide any additional info that might help to diagonose the problem let me know.

This happens with your-project.xml, but it can be replicated easily by just duplicating a
single line a few thousand times.
