Subject [jira] [Commented] (FLINK-4070) Support literals on left side of binary expressions

Jark Wu commented on FLINK-4070:
--------------------------------

The Table API does not  support literals on left side of expressions like {{+,_,*,/,%,>,<}}
. Because there is already such method in Int class, scala compiler would not search for implicit
conversion.

Of course after adding a function {{toExpr}} to Expression, we can use {{12.toExpr < 'f0}}.
It is a solution, but not clean.

Any ideas?  [~twalthr]  [~fhueske]

> The Table API does not support binary expressions like {{12 < 'f0}} in Scala DSL where
the left side is a literal. Maybe this can be solved by implicits or at least by a {{12.toExpr}}
method.
