Content-Type: text/plain Message-Id: <20160128121448.3A572DFFF4@git1-us-west.apache.org> Date: Thu, 28 Jan 2016 12:14:48 +0000 (UTC) Github user twalthr commented on the pull request: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/1544#issuecomment-176150700 When I wrote my SQL prototype I also thought about using Java because Calcite is written in Java, but since it is easy to use Java classes from Scala and Scala has a much better feature set and is more concise, I would strongly insist to use Scala. When we implement the code generation in the DataSet RelNodes, Scala will make our life much easier. Mixing up languages in one flink module is not very comfortable anyway. --- If your project is set up for it, you can reply to this email and have your reply appear on GitHub as well. If your project does not have this feature enabled and wishes so, or if the feature is enabled but not working, please contact infrastructure at infrastructure@apache.org or file a JIRA ticket with INFRA. ---
