Stephan Ewen commented on FLINK-3182:
-------------------------------------

I think this is a minor issue right now. Fixing this would probably be quite tricky, making
the netty response handles in the future of the request (and make sure Netty's threads are
the execution context for the future)

>                 Key: FLINK-3182
>                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-3182
>             Project: Flink
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: Webfrontend
>    Affects Versions: 0.10.1
>            Reporter: Ufuk Celebi
>
> In {{TaskManagersHandler}}:
> {code}
> Future<Object> future = jobManager.ask(
>     new JobManagerMessages.RequestTaskManagerInstance(instanceID),
>     timeout);
> TaskManagerInstance instance = (TaskManagerInstance) Await.result(
>     future,
>     timeout);
> {code}
> The default timeout is 10 seconds. Depending on the number of event loop threads and
requests this can block the web server.
