Hi [~ssaumitra],
thank you for your interest in working on this issue!

As far as I know, nobody has started working on this. Since this will be a quite big addition
to Gelly, I have tagged the issue with the {{requires-design-doc}} label. This means that,
before you start coding, we should first discuss the approach with the community and make
a document that describes the design of the proposed solution. We hope that this will save
contributors' time and make it easier for PRs to be accepted. Please, take a look at our recently
updated [contribution guide|https://flink.apache.org/contribute-code.html] for more details.

To start, try to write down your initial ideas about how you would like to approach this and
share them in the dev mailing list or here. Once we have some input from the community and
a quite clear idea on how to proceed, we can polish the design document and start the implementation.
