Sebastian Kruse commented on FLINK-964:

I have just put together a little prototype for this issue and would like to ask you for some
feedback. You can find it on [https://github.com/sekruse/incubator-flink/tree/FLINK-964].
Here is also a screenshot of it: [https://owncloud.hpi.de/public.php?service=files&t=6842cf8155f2d9c43519e44da650a1a5].

What the prototype currently does is sending the profiling events to the web client, that
aggregates and transforms them in order to plot the graphs. This means, that a page refresh
erases the graph history.

> -------------------------------------------
> Key: FLINK-964
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-964
> Project: Flink
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Local Runtime, Webfrontend
> Affects Versions: 0.6-incubating
> Reporter: Stephan Ewen
> Assignee: Jonathan Hasenburg
> This issue is subject to discussion.
> The profiling code currently needs to be kept in sync with the job graph code, execution
graph code, and runtime code.
> Since that part of the code is undergoing quite some changes and the profiling code is
not used right now, I suggest to remove it, or move it to an artifact repository.
