We would have a datagrid, fixed page size, and a button bar to switch forward/backward the page. It is fine to repaint the rows without caching them Anyway our discussion still applies whether we consider scrolling. so your suggestion is creating another DataGridView DataGridModel, DataGridLayout, item render and other related beads if required. It is very similar to code I have now. But it will be a new datagrid (mostly with copy/paste), is it good idea to extend controls this way? If my goal is only to enable paging for my application, I already did it (check local:PagingDataGridByComposite above) I am finishing my code of "new DataGrid with set of beads" as you last suggestion, it was halt when I noticed it may need change to DataGridView. I am not sure if it is good idea as I asked earlier in this comment, but I think we need to make progress. > DataGrid doesn't support paging on large data set > ------------------------------------------------- > > Key: FLEX-35224 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX-35224 > Project: Apache Flex > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Pan Li > Priority: Minor > Attachments: screenshot-1.png, src.zip > > > expected: > Gird should support paging if data collection is large > !screenshot-1.png! -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
