    Description: 
Parsing a data with "YYYY-MM-DD" format can return null.

This issue is this code:
        if (day != newDate.getDate() || mon != newDate.getMonth())
            return null;

Which should be?
        if (date != newDate.getDate() || mon != newDate.getMonth())
            return null;
