Subject [jira] [Commented] (FLEX-34026) Data Copied (overwritten) into unintented rows while sorting using column header
Date Tue, 18 Feb 2014 22:19:21 GMT

Bharath commented on FLEX-34026:

The second monitor is helpful to reproduce the issue, but, we can reproduce this issue on
a single monitor as well by having this IE window and another application side-by-side. Please
note that this is happening only on IE while FireFox works fine.

We ended up calling the dataGrid.destroyItemEditor(); on Header Release event and it appears
to solve the issue for now.

> Components: mx: DataGrid, PopUp Manager
> Affects Versions: Adobe Flex SDK 4.5 (Release)
> Environment: Internet Explorer 8, Windows 7, FlashPlayer version [WIN 11.8]

> Attachments: NewTest.fxp
> 1.Run the attached application.
> 2.Click on "Test Bad Popup" button.
> 3.Click on [comments] header to sort and bring non-empty comments to top.
> 4.Focus on (empty) comment on 3rd row and enter 'Test Comment'
> 5.Focus on another application (on a 2nd monitor like Outlook)
> 6.Directly click on [Price] column header to sort by Price.
> 7.Notice that "Test Comment" is copied to an unsuspecting row. If this row already contains
data, that data is overwritten.
