I have come across this before and also found it surprising/error-prone.

That said, however, I am not convinced that the event should only be triggered when double
clicking on a row. The doubleClick event is not a DataGrid specific event, and giving it special
behavior for DataGrids might be surprising. IMHO it might make more sense for a new itemDoubleClick
event type to be introduced, perhaps using the DataGridEvent class (e.g. like the ExtJS Grid:

Interestingly, the MX DataGrid doesn't fire a double click event on the scrollbar, but *does*
on the column headers.
