Colin Childs commented on FLEX-33166:

[~mamsellem] I have tested your most recent changes on iOS and it all works beautifully. I
also discovered why my project was behaving differently from the fresh project and had my
keyboard disappearing when tapping on the border. It turns out I still had my old click outside
handler that would detect an outside click and remove focus from the TextInput to dismiss
the softkeyboard. This is no longer needed with a StageText implementation, so without it,
everything works great. My only complaint now is that while scrolling, tapping on a TextInput
while swiping often stops the scrolling and puts the focus in the TextInput. While this is
not a huge issue, it can be a little annoying at times. I will do some testing on a couple
different Android devices and let you know if I run into any more issues. Great work!

> We should be able to configure a text field which only accepts numerical input to call
up the numeric pad. However, the skinclasses for the textfield that can call up the number
pad will not scroll--If you try to use the skinclass that can call the softkey number pad
in a scrollable container, the textfield scrolls away from its text.
