Subject RE: Flex Mobile DataGrid donation submission
Date Wed, 25 Sep 2013 15:07:10 GMT
Hi,

I just sent by email the three required documents, filled and signed, to secretary@apache.org.

Should I receive an acknowledgement?
What are the next steps?

Regards,

Maurice

Maurice is the developer of our Flex dashboard building framework software for our company.
As his Manager, he has my vote and support. A stronger Apache Flex community is a stronger
community for our customers.

It's clear.

I am already spending some time on the ML, and my manager can see that (hey, Tom, you see
me ;-) ) I think I have the right to work for ASF, at least to some extent. So I will the
formal agreement to that.

- Software Grant signed,
- CCLA signed with my name in "Schedule A".

Note: From what I have read, the CCLA seems also to protect my company (myself ?) , as the
contributions are provided "as is", with no warranty. And support for the provided contributions
is not mandatory.
Is that correct ?

Regards,

Maurice

A Software Grant is all that is needed from Systar. If this donation is substantial the incubator
has a form: http://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/

The ICLA is needed for Maurice to work within the project. It protects the ASF.

The CCLA is for Maurice's protection, it acknowledges that they know he is working on Apache
Flex on hours. It is evidence that he really has the rights to the work he may contribute
to the foundation.

Dave
