Subject Re: Support Task to Familiarize with Data Import Tool
Date Sun, 04 Jun 2017 18:03:58 GMT
Hi Ed/ all,

we successfully uploaded the data. The issue was with date format. Only MM/DD/YYYY date format
is allowed in the data import tool. Thanks to Avik and Sampath (from Mifos Support) for the
timely help. Much appreciated!

Two minor issues:

1. The interest rate can not be given in actual decimal places (such as 14.3%) instead it
takes only rounded number (14%)
2. The charges can not be attached. Charge ID is not known therefore it's doesn't work.

version which I have never seen. Ex:- Interval dropdown was not displaying any values, error
message column had some data validation on it enforcing it to be a dropdown. Once the fresh
group template was downloaded, there weren't any issues.

a default value of Cash in the dropdown. The new payment type configuration does not have
a default value in the system. So we had to create it and re-download the template.

the amount entered as total repaid amount probably went into overpaid for closed loans and
settled part of next instalment for running loans. This is an open bug in the tool from a
long time.

parameters in the excel sheet itself and find the closest match to his schedule and then configure
the product accordingly.
