Subject [jira] [Created] (FELIX-5497) Error in iPOJO documentation
Date Tue, 17 Jan 2017 11:06:26 GMT
Roman Koreshkov created FELIX-5497:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: Error in iPOJO documentation
                 Key: FELIX-5497
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-5497
             Project: Felix
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: iPOJO
    Affects Versions: ipojo-runtime-1.12.1
         Environment: Gradle (com.athaydes.gradle.osgi), Kotlin
            Reporter: Roman Koreshkov
            Priority: Minor

I tried to create my own Service Tracking Interceptor using guidelines at page http://felix.apache.org/documentation/subprojects/apache-felix-ipojo/apache-felix-ipojo-userguide/ipojo-advanced-topics/service-binding-interceptors.html.
Unfortunately, the examples in "Service Tracking Interceptors" didn't work (the interceptior
was not invoked). After a lot of iPOJO internals debugging I guessed to add @Instantiate annotation
to my interceptor and it helped.

For an iPOJO newcomer a non-working code in documentation means waste of a lot of time. However,
may be I don't know something I must have read before this article, would you be so kind as
to help me in getting this knowledge.
