[~bosschaert], I filed the change request on the OSGi bugzilla as you suggested. BJ immediately
replied, saying that this had already been done.

Would you kindly make the change to the API? I will work on the impl following that update,
and will also consequently update this issue and the PR.

This is a non-ambiguous way to signal to the Converter to treat any Object as if it were a
