Subject [jira] [Commented] (FELIX-4773) Generated service component xml does not conform to XSD
Date Wed, 18 Feb 2015 15:35:11 GMT

Carsten Ziegeler commented on FELIX-4773:

Afaik, the XML is correct according to the specification, see section 112.4.3. It is allowed
to have a root element which does not have to be in the namespace and can have any name.

However, we can skip this element as we're creating a single component per XML anyway

> Generated service component xml does not conform to XSD
> -------------------------------------------------------
> Key: FELIX-4773
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-4773
> Project: Felix
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: SCR Tooling
> Affects Versions: maven-scr-plugin 1.20.0
> Reporter: Michael Grafl
> Assignee: Carsten Ziegeler
> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: maven-scr-plugin 1.21.0, scr generator 1.13.0
> The ServiceComponent xml file generated by maven-scr-plugin does not conform to the declared
XML Schema Definition "http://www.osgi.org/xmlns/scr/v1.0.0". Same for other specVersions
("http://www.osgi.org/xmlns/scr/v1.1.0" and "http://www.osgi.org/xmlns/scr/v1.2.0").
> The file is generated with root element "components", e.g.,
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><components xmlns:scr="http://www.osgi.org/xmlns/scr/v1.0.0">
> <scr:component> ...
> </scr:component>
> </components>
> The XSD specifies the root element as "component".
