Carsten Ziegeler commented on FELIX-2513:

That should be possible, it's basically just a copy with all write operations removed.

> Support richer format for configurations
> ----------------------------------------
> Key: FELIX-2513
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-2513
> Project: Felix
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: File Install

> Attachments: config.patch
> The current format read by file install for configurations uses the java.util.Properties
- this format does not support multi values and objects other than strings.
> As configurations usually use other types than string, it would be nice to support the
richer format like for example the config admin implementation uses.
> To be compatible, I suggest we leave the old behaviour for ".cfg" files and use a new
extension ".config" for the other format.
