Subject [jira] Commented: (FELIX-569) Improve Configuration Page
Date Mon, 15 Mar 2010 12:28:27 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-569?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12845289#action_12845289

Valentin Valchev commented on FELIX-569:

IMHO the PID & FPID are no quite interesting for the user. It is important for the developers.
For the user important is the name / description of the configurations. This was the reason
for me to choose to hide the PID (column).

However, I left the FPID column available, for the only reason to make it possible to group
the pids by their factory.

With this change, we expose a separate column for pid/fpid - not quite meaningful information
to the user, and loose grouping by fpid.

> At the moment the way to select the Configuration page is not so user friendly.
> The more component you have , the more it get difficult to find in the drop down list.
> So to make it more easy I would suggest to introduce some kind of "Tree" browse with
categorized component configuration eventually.
