I looked at it when it was registered and I was not sure if liked the idea in the first place, nor did it seems to have priority because it can already be achieved by adding more directories to watch. 1. One we can only make it backward compatible by adding a flag (I usually have a nested folder "unused") 2. Multiple folders are already supported with Configuration Admin. E.g. adding a simple text file in your watched directory can already add a new directory to be watched, ad infinitum. 3. Nested directories can easily be a very large set, it is hard to see the scope. I like to keep things as simple as possible, this kind of stuff bloats quickly, however small each feature might be. Now I am not the boss so if you get some other people that feel strong about it we can discuss it further.
